Reconciliation Special Offering Sept. 17 & 24
The Special Offering is used to fund our Church’s mission imperative to become an pro-reconciling and anti-racist church utilizing experiential education, inclusive worship and intentional dialogue. Our efforts to promote healing, relationship and restoration in the whole family of God are enlivened by funds from this offering. Through it we are able to provide programs for leadership development, curriculum for dialogue and learning, and partnerships within the Church and our communities.
Recent events have reignited the conversation about human brokenness evidenced in the sin of racism and perpetuated in our institutional structures and systems. Your generous giving to Reconciliation Ministry is transforming lives and strengthening Christ’s witness in the world showing that we love one another, even as Christ continues to love us! Thursday, September 21 – It’s Movie Night!
We will be showing the Sight and Sound Theatres in Branson’s DVD “Moses” at 6 pm on Thursday, September 21 in the church sanctuary.
“A production of immense scope. Be immersed in this vibrant, original musical that surges through landmark moments – the awe-inspiring burning bush, the plagues that batter Egypt, the Raging Red Sea that parts on an overwhelming scale. Experience the heart of this adventure: The journey of a broken man and the enslaved Isralite People, who find their identity and freedom in God.” Read More.
Youth Ministries Have Begun!
CCF is during the Sunday School hour. Come prepared to laugh, pray, play and to get to know each other. Christian Children’s Fellowship is the younger version of Chi-Rho and CYF. It is for kids K – 5th grades and who knows what kind of fun things can happen at church!
CYF is every Wednesday at 6pm. We will have a snack supper and then meet. We already know that this summer we are going to want to take a work trip down to help with all the damage from Harvey. We are going to take a stab at upgrading the church’s non-Facebook social media, and we are going to give bells a try. Youth group is always more fun when you bring your friends. See you on Wednesday. Read the bulletin here.
